The nations pubs, clubs and restaurants have had their doors shut since March 20^th – when the government implemented the first phase of the coronavirus lockdown, which ordered the hospitality industry to close at their earliest convenience.

Meanwhile a return has been pencilled in for the July 4^th, which is the earliest they can open according to the government’s coronavirus strategy. The government and the scientific advisory group have given the go-ahead for the two-metre rule to be cut in half, providing that face masks and other sanitation procedures are complied with.
